Authentic Hatha Yoga Philosophy

Chapter 1: Foundations of Hatha Yoga

You will learn:

✅ The meaning, purpose, and common misconceptions of traditional Hatha Yoga
✅ The opening mantra and the factors that support or obstruct success in practice
✅ The recommended environment, lifestyle, diet, and discipline of a Hatha yogi
✅ Classical asanas, correct methods of practice, signs of progress, and perfection in asana
✅ Principal meditative postures and the traditional sequence of Hatha Yoga practice

Chapter 2: Shatkarma and Pranayama

You will learn:

✅ The six Shatkarmas—their purposes, methods, benefits, precautions, and contraindications
✅ The relationship between breath, prana, the mind, and the attainment of Manonmani, or the thoughtless state
✅ Breath retention, purification of the nadis, and the yogic understanding of life and death
✅ The eight classical pranayamas with kumbhaka, including suitable timing, duration, and diet
✅ Signs of purified nadis, correct pranayama, inner progress, and perfection in Hatha Yoga

Chapter 3: Chakras, Kundalini, Mudras and Bandhas

You will learn:

✅ The chakras, nadis, prana, and the structure of the subtle energy body
✅ The meaning of kundalini and traditional preparation for its safe awakening
✅ Classical mudras used to preserve, awaken, and direct vital energy
✅ Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jalandhara Bandha, and their combined application
✅ The process, signs, benefits, responsibilities, and possible experiences of kundalini awakening

Chapter 4: Samadhi and Absolute Freedom

You will learn:

✅ How Hatha Yoga prepares the practitioner for meditation and Raja Yoga
✅ The relationship between prana, mind, inner sound, and the dissolution of mental activity
✅ The meaning and different states of samadhi described in the yogic tradition
✅ The progression from concentration and meditation to complete inner absorption
✅ The meaning of Kaivalya, absolute freedom, inner joy, and lasting happiness
